Message I've always been under the impression that MAF was better since it actually measured the amount of air entering the intake and thus simpler to tune it safely.

where-as the MAP calculates the pressure and volume in the intake manifold and is closer along the lines of an educated guess rather than a measurement.

It seems to be that a MAP would be very difficult to dial in (I'm under the assumption you need to know the exact volume of the intake manifold)

And 1 more question: it's generally agreed upon that re-circs are better than BOVs, is this just because BOVs in a MAF system lose measured air, or are re-circs in a MAP system still superior?
